CT Scans Department

ct scan stationSacramento Ear, Nose and Throat offers our patients the convenience of in-office CT scanning (also known as “CAT” scanning) with our new, state-of-the-art MiniCATfor ENT* scanner.

Sinus problems and other ailments of the ear, nose, and throat can be uncomfortable and emotionally draining, especially if you have to live with them over a period of time. Our in-office MiniCATfor ENT scanner gives us immediate access to high-quality, 3D images of your sinuses and ears, allowing us to diagnose and treat you faster. Our certified CT technologists work with our physician specialists to make sure you get the fast and effective treatment you deserve.

MiniCATfor ENT is much smaller than the big, “doughnut”-shaped CT scanners typically seen in hospitals, and features a unique, upright design that allows you to sit comfortably during scans. A typical adult scan takes only 40 seconds, and our kid-friendly (low dose) scan takes only 20 seconds. The open, friendly design of the scanner minimizes claustrophobia and is even wheelchair accessible.

Since the scanner is right here in our office, it saves you time and unnecessary travel, and offers the added benefit of allowing you to stay nearby during your children’s scans—an added comfort for everyone.

We constantly strive to enhance patient care and convenience. Through the intelligent use of advanced technology administered by our highly qualified staff specialists, our CT Scan Department does just that.
