Hailing from Southern California by way of Michigan, Dr. Travis Miller brought his training, skills, love and compassion to Sacramento in 2006. He couldn't dream of a better place to practice the art of medicine, or a better team to work with.
Dr. Travis Miller attended undergraduate studies at University of California, San Diego where he received his B.S. in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience. He also competed on the UCSD Men’s Swimming and Diving Team where he won 14 NCAA Division III titles (an NCAA Record) and received the UCSD Outstanding Student-Athlete Award in 1994. Dr. Travis Miller then graduated from medical school at the University of California, Los Angeles in June 1999. He completed residency training in Combined Pediatrics and Internal Medicine at the Los Angeles County – University of Southern California Medical Center in June 2003. He worked in private practice for one year, prior to completing formal training in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the University of Michigan Medical Center. He worked at Capital Allergy and Respiratory Disease Center from August 2006 – November 2013. In December 2013, Dr. Travis Miller answered the call to found The Allergy Station, a greater Sacramento-based allergy practice devoted to cutting edge science and focusing on patient needs and positive outcomes.
Dr. Travis Miller has actively pursued research in acute asthma (residency), chronic sinus disease (fellowship), as well as allergic rhinitis, COPD, celiac disease, chronic urticaria and rare metabolic diseases. He has presented scientific research on the genetics of nasal polyps, aspirin exacerbated respiratory disease and treatment of chronic sinusitis. His clinical interests are broad and include asthma, sinusitis, immune deficiency, immuno-modulation and food allergy. Dr. Travis Miller enjoys speaking regionally to patient-directed support groups, hosting asthma screening fairs, and supporting community needs. In addition, Dr. Travis Miller has been an invited lecturer regionally, nationally and internationally.
Dr. Travis Miller has faithfully served on numerous leadership committees, including ACAAI and AAAAI committees, the BloodSource Board of Directors, WSAAI and CSAAI Board of Directors and the president of the John M. Sheldon Alumni Allergy Society (Michigan). He serves on the Editorial Board for the Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and reviews for other scholarly allergy journals on an ad-hoc basis.
More importantly, he lives in Rocklin, California, with his wife and family whom he absolutely adores.
